At the height of sub-zero slush mess, thank goodness there are quick ways to defrost in this very gastronomical city. A cup of hot coffee now feels as comforting as a coffee shop’s toasty air and foggy windows.
Definitely more ventilating than that is my cut-out-back trench. But the front-tie long jacket will be a regret to miss out despite the time disorder. Although the open back and deep front splits on the flared cuffs had nothing else to show but my chunky sweatshirt layered underneath, I’d like to think that the trend of oversize justifies all types of bulk, and that seasonal wardrobe may just be a myth.
The trench is still worth it if I’m wrong.
In other news, I’m making time to catch up on Mad Men. I’m not a big drama series consumer. The fact that even Butter, our pup, has learned to appreciate the occasional canine scenes on CNN – the default background hum at our house, proves the commitment is real. And that the obsession is, too. I worry if one day I’d start speaking in the 60s’ conduct. Actually I don’t. The show is worth it.
What have you all been up to?
I’m wearing:

I almost bought a trench coat from American Apparel, it was the perfect fabric and color when I seen it in the store. Now I wish I would have gotten it when it was on sale 😔 Anywho I’ve been in Miami since the 5th kinda bummed I came back home and it was freezing here and I’m in Texas. Nothing compared to NY cold though. Ugh I definitely don’t miss freezing my ass off in the east coast but stay warm!
