I’m wearing:
Diesel Black Gold quilted deconstructred peacoat | Saint Laurent ‘Baby Duffel’ Leather Satchel – Black (past season, similar style different finish linked) | McQ Alexander McQueen booties

Geographically speaking in reference to my city, this is a hybrid of uptown class and downtown edge I’m wearing.
The deconstructed cover-up and the Brooklyn-artist-gang-appropriate hood in matching fabric make one of the most practical cold weather styles I’ve found this season. The quilted under-layer was surprisingly robust against the chill. The subtle metallic sheen on the fabric works cheerfully with sleek-surface anything, from patent leather shoes to rain boots.
Diesel Black Gold also makes an even edgier version where in place of the peacoat upper is a leather and metal zip biker, a version also quickly sold out in my size before I could act.
For rebels and the classics alike, this jacket gets us to the dingy underground coffee shop that serves the strongest espresso and all the way to the brightest marble shopping floor at Barneys. Not a bad deal.
