The Blanket Sweats

The truth is, sweats are having a blanket moment.

They’re pushed to the spotlight in recent seasons, revamped with an elevated vision, and styled with infinite possibilities. Elements that seamlessly go with a pair of good old joggers range from a matching top, a brawny jacket, a fitted, fine blazer, to a feminine blouse like the one I’m wearing, and with detailed modern manipulations such as drastically extended sleeves, generously outsized cuts, and football-shouldered silhouettes.

But the trend formed naturally, with the development of mix and match and eclectic styles. Classic yet casual, authentic and easy – great timing is part of the package. We always find a way back to the basics. This time it’s the sweats.

And I’m so not tired of it yet.
