Cozy (and poetic) ways to new year.
Juxtaposing the stress-test-like final clearance sales was the fall 2018 couture week. The demand for compartmentalized thinking and multi-tasking was real.
I found these gently-fluorescent floral pints some of the best of the season.
Natacha Ramsay-Levi's debut collection for Chloé was full of historical references and these house-heritage horses were Levi's homage to her predecessors McCartney and Philo's love of the animal. All is lovely except that these chevaux seem to fare the best at its own circus.
The Bermuda-evoking blazer, the blissful mini structured skirt, 80s sandals all you want, and the rose bushes – that this is my favorite time of the year is not for nothing.
These re-invented animal print pieces serve a gratifying bite of daring characters. An all-over spotted look would be my choice. A modest animal-print is a mere form of rhetoric. So why not follow its gravity?
Besides establishing a brand synonymous of using over-the-top faux fur, Hannah Weiland’s unapologetically girly designs are refreshing and authentic and, to me, where her true assets lie.
