2016 marked more major events in our lives than many earlier ones. And above all, I came to an age when I, hopefully, progressed into piecing my career, family, surroundings, goals and purposes into a more holistic perspective.
After the eventful past week, my search for a way to return to the flow state.
When structured into a boxy shape, a robe jacket is one of my essentials to create a minimalist silhouette. This one by VINCE is not the case. But the perfectly tailored garment turned out to be just as versatile as its slouchy brother.
Tongues, or extended garment details (which is likely a lot more proper)… however you wish to call these extended limbs, I decided to load up on them today.
And eyes wide open, as I see hope in works by designers like Demeulemeester.

I didn’t think I’d challenge myself to fit into bodycon velvet. But obviously my friends over at s a k u knows how to convert me.
Nowadays, really, feel free to call whatever color you feel most comfortable with the new black. Burgundy is one of mine, ranking high on the list.
