Tongues, or extended garment details (which is likely a lot more proper)… however you wish to call these extended limbs, I decided to load up on them today.
Arianne Elmy named these bottoms Trash Shorts – very graphic and brilliant indeed.
I love it when a piece is designed to be worn in creative ways as we wish. The way these asymmetric shorts tie up on the side is quite imaginative (see the effect here). Leave the long side loose like I did creates bolder lines and a dressier silhouette – one definitive mantra of mine. But I’ll leave the decision to you.
The equally rad top also has a (shorter) tongue sticking out off-center at the bottom. I felt the need to tie these wild things down a bit, which only ended up in one more tongue in leather. Ironic, isn’t it!?
What are your thoughts, ladies?
Arianne Elmy TRASH SHORTS | Jacquemus wool top (past season, see my other picks from the uber cool Jacquemus below) | Wolford ‘Sibylle’ Semi-Sheer Trouser Socks | Loewe Puzzle Bag | Alexander Wang Lucie pumps (sold out, the same style in a suede finish linked)
