This is actually my very first Self-Portrait piece, thanks to the brand’s gift. Quick things to note about the dress are: the sizing is considerate of petite frames; the thoughtful neutral under layer and sturdy construction make the piece as practical as aesthetical. The label’s impressively large selection almost guarantees a satisfactory style – just the crochet dress has close to a dozen variations.
The other style worth mentioning here are the platform Gucci boots. If you’re as much into clunky footwear as I am, these might be something to consider despite the hefty price. These boast many hardware details throughout: the large side D-ring, metal logo on the back, signature icons at front, and studs holding shoe laces are just a few. An obvious construction drawback is their tremendous weight and hence a lack of flexibility. But considering a statement piece by itself, I’m willing to overlook the downsides.
