    Summer, 2019

    October 9, 2019

Butter, our dog, has been experiencing some chronic neurological pains since spring this year. Our whole summer was spent seeing one specialist after another; and in fear of potential unpredictability of his illness, hubby and I decided to cancel our overseas travel this year so we could take care of him ourselves. Luckily, at last, his pain is now successfully controlled.

As a result, a rather lovely alternative we thought of was to travel with Butter to somewhere nearby. We ended up at Quogue, a far-flung town of the large Hamptons area, just before summer ends. The secluded beaches off the beaten track, the exuberant woods, drizzly ponds, and open lands felt almost otherworldly to us city dwellers. For the first time, Butter had access to a large private backyard, and visited the beach and got wet.

Most of these images were taken in Quogue. Family, woods, sand, and water will be how we remember this lovely summer.
