#OutfitIdeas, #OOTDs, #LookBooks… one of the last things we are short of today are inspirations to get our self-images straight, or rather, to feel socially belonged.

With my everyday efforts to maintain a fake tan, endless Internet to crash, and habitual paranoia over the weather, I roll by one #OOTD at a time so I get hashtag-detected. And though the chance is likely as slim as winning Power Ball, I wish not to bore you guys with much redundancy.

But it’s a minor feat to get a post up whereas a more meaningful one to provoke a few more thoughts that might alleviate the likes of us from the gridlock of working out perspectives: I mean, how do we pick and choose in an era of information overload on almost everything?

It’s one thing to aspire to have it all, but a much more practical lifehack to prioritize and streamline.

When it comes to style, I don’t think anyone needs a big wardrobe. “I like to change it up” doesn’t stand as an excuse. As long as you don’t change three times a day everyday, all you need is a small, curated collection.

Fill the closet with items you truly enjoy and hence wear the most; get rid of the ones you wish to wear but never did; and as you go, update the selection by replacing the sentimental pieces with new finds that you’d rather wear now.

And before I digress beyond any helps, this Nina Ricci ruffled shirt is an example of such keeper. Actually, it has a prime place in my current wardrobe. The forest green satin shirt is slightly decorated with two oversized patch pockets and ruffled wide barrel cuffs. It’s a latest go-to and I feel perfectly comfortable in it.

Now as this post is at the same time aggravating the information excess, chill and know that the art of effective thinking is only born under such strain.

And it helps that when you meet a keeper, you instantly know it.
