I felt like I’ve gradually entered a point in life when I become hard to impress. The out-of-my-league price tags, the glib BS, the outside-the-normative outlook, and those thrusts of short-lived passion – things that I considered cool and invigorating in my early 20s start to diminish. They don’t become the opposite – they just become the rest.
Off the top of my head, professional traits that do impress me – as I now question myself – are smart and determined. Those people have got sound judgment. Yes, it’s incredibly overarching and here goes the elaboration.
Some kids get to stay forever defiant way into their adulthood and even build a career out of that youth. And then there are serious, multi-disciplinary thinker icons who engage in studies and practices of formal principles. Examples of both types abound in the creative fields.
All roads lead to Rome. The ones that lead astray are not oftentimes defined by wrong approaches but a lack of those.
Over the years, I heard many self-denial complaints about why they cannot blog. “I cannot do what you do”.
I can go on and on about what I do. But besides the readily available obvious, what I do may not work for another, or even for myself in the near future. Unfortunately there are no guarantees of any sorts in this exploration. There are no tried-and-true routines in a creative job. It’s an adventure that doesn’t quite honor seniority or past accolades. It’s an evolving society with changing priorities and demands – to expect our jobs to be static would be stifling and off the track.
There is how to start a blog 101; and there are nuances that cannot be consulted. What I can say with confidence is, it’s a balance of art of commerce, a mix of updated knowledge of your audience and your own strength and weakness. It’s a highly strategic piece of work, literally. The key is to be your own creative director. That’s what takes a moment into a career.
Oh, and don’t stop reading.

I love the mood of your images. They always have something a bit gritty to them. Yes, there are many people who oversimplify this creative work as a blogger, I even feel other bloggers do this at times. Oh well. Keep enjoying what you do.
