Shearling isn’t anything new but managed to enter the recent A/W trends, I believe, owes part of its popularity to a hip streetstyle label, Acne Studios. Trendy creations like the boxy one by Acne Studios photograph so well that I started to doubt my body type when I tried it on and sadly decided the cut wasn’t for me. For those of you who skimmed my rants, you know I like the Swiss label. But not all designs are made equally even under one same label. Don’t get me wrong – I am, and only capable of, speaking from my experience.
This one by SET, a contemporary British brand, meets my fantasies of a shearling outerwear. Its soft, light leather has moderate shearling and reasonable amount of room to wiggle, layer, and perhaps to many’s major concern, to pull if off.
Now I’m nobody to judge that here – you tell me how it looks in these photos. What I adore about this jacket is its no-nonsense construction and wearability that relieved me from the fear that we could all slide without noticing into the state of fashion slaves one day.
On another note, these slightly elastic pants fit snug. The subtle flare and crop length at the bottom are simply adorable. The tee I’m wearing is one of my all-time favorites. Well, maybe I’m biased here – it reads “Zexy” on it.
