The irresistible appeal of these mottled rock slabs seems to have a profound origin. What we know is, the natural, unique, subtle patterns found on marble sing the same note with the ultra hip minimalist trend.
Admittedly, I own more than one marble-dial timepieces, the reason being that each is indeed distinctive in their own “shade”.
Over a few correspondences with CLUSE, I learned their meticulous resolve on the minimalist aesthetics. It’s always gripping to hear stories like that, isn’t it?
I looked through their line and wanted to test out their very own rendering on this popular development of marble. Evidently for me, the all black idea was too tempting to miss.
The matte stone in true black is enhanced with cream white in the same muted tone. The one I got has a rich white vein across the bold 38mm dial. The clean, lusterless leather strap readily chimes in. Its matte finish – though subtle – is riveting; it is the element that makes this watch stand out at least among my own collection.
I wouldn’t change a thing. The watch’s got some daring character.
Besides this all-black style, the marble model also comes in a few alternative combinations of white, black, and gold.
I’ve also linked CLUSE’s full line. Feel free to leave questions and thoughts in the comment.
