“Pleats Please”

Issey Miyake implanted an unarguably romantic image of pleats in my head since long ago. Via Miyake, the infinite possibilities by pleats are made palpable embodiments and a true blissful experience for all spectators and clients.

s a k u offered their take on pleats in their AW 16 collection. And these were the first ones I picked up among all, at a visit to the s a k u studio. I guess that proved my non-discriminate bias toward all pleats.

These two-tiered slit pants carry all characters of pleated fabrics and then some. The extra wide legs move as flowy as a maxi skirt. The short tiers on top and the front slits add more dynamics to the fluidity and ergonomics of the fabrics.

Pair them with a basic tee would work just well. I’d also consider pointy-toe booties for cooler weathers.
