Off the Pedestal Onto the Streets

    August 23, 2016

    I’m wearing:

Juan Carlos Obando Wrap House silk-chiffon blouse | Acne Studios boyfriend jeans | A Gold E June Crop High-Rise Flare Jeans | Celine Candle Heel Mule in Shiny Calfskin | Haider Ackermann stiletto boots

Available items are all linked. For all sold out items, see my similar picks below in the product carousel.

A rich blow of scarlet is likely my second top choice next to black for a dressier day.

This blouse answers to all of our tender imaginations. The drape from the shoulder is fine and lush; the dainty wrap hugging the bodice crosses into an oversized bow; the generous ties flow free and high; the night is young; mystique going strong; romance brewing.

    Ahem. And alas.

Everything else being equal, I’m a coffee over wine, cross-body over clutch, true-blue over finely pressed tuxedo pants sorta mundane.

In case that you’re somehow (or at times) in line with and enjoy crushing fancy pants – or fancy top in this case -with rough, worn denim and quirky shoes, I tested it out and thought I’d share a few options here.

There are numerous more ways to style the blouse. One certain thing is, high fashion has long come down the pedestal nowadays. The ideas of wearability and occasion are more fluid than ever. Who wears what where when is totally everybody’s call.

Love this read! Wow you are such an amazing writer! And how true is the title?! It is all about wearability now, we no longer just gawk at high fashion, we are incorporating it into our style on the daily. Love it!
