Green robe, lime tights, fuzzy wuzzy cocoon coat, bright red sweatpants, shades of pink in combination with iridescent unicorn hues, unmistakably holiday red lips utterly donned in sparkles… which of those marks your highest level of merriment?
This holiday season somehow felt shorter than the past ones. Christmas is now less than a week away and next we’ll be in 2020 in no time. 2019 was full of stories – good ones: Butter, our dog, had the toughest year so far dealing with neurological pains which thankfully by now are finally under control; I turned 36 which officially sent me over to the other side of mid-30; I went on a long-due trip back to my home country, China, and came back absolutely elated from an unexpectedly marvelous cultural taste; I read more than 2018; I spent some private time with my family and mulled over my banal yet knotty mother-daughter relationship that turned out to be helpful.
What’s the merriest, if that’s a moderately appropriate word here, of all? Likely learning.
Happy holidays, folks!
