It’s funny how I got converted too – they say macarons are a blogger’s thing. I was never a big fan of these little French snobs (and no pun intended). I had a hard time getting it – besides a potential sugar high, what else is about these petite meringue sandwiches? Oh right, a mere thought of these make my teeth ache. So that too. 😉

Not the case with Laduree’s Peru chocolate ones. “Balanced in flavor to perfection” isn’t an abused exaggeration in this case. I cannot say I’m now a fan of Laduree, but I definitely am an enthusiast of select flavors from the patisserie, such as sesame. For those of you out there who are as determined as I was, give it a try on these and thank you later.   😉
