    Behind the “Misanthropic Insouciance” Rage

It’s clearly a thing now, these exceedingly oversize sweats.

They came in complete covers over limbs including fingers and in the case of hoodies, hanging down the head over half of the face. I tested drove some – this look being one, and I gotta say, the anonymity brought a curious sigh of relief. Traveling in my own bubble felt better than I thought.

Vogue named it “dash of misanthropic insouciance”.

    Efficiently fair enough.

But I suppose there is more to the rage.

Those carefully conceived baggy constructions aren’t the average ones we get from a college bookstore – exaggerated silhouettes and designer logo prints, blatant or subtle, are small big details. The resulting outrageous price tags further feed the momentum; the sold-out signs are more fuels to the flame.

Well, they serve $1,000 pizzas here in town, why cannot we have fancy sweats?

Being in fashion for years now, I am still not convinced that this is, for the dressers, an equal opportunity business. What works on one could mean disaster for another. If you’re on the fence, test the waters with a $20 one from H&M before you shell out half of your monthly rent.

I did. And I’m pleased to report that the hoodie worked more than aptly that I’m no longer watching my back-in-stock email alerts from Vetements.

If all you want is a fat n’ greasy diner’s pepperoni deluxe slice, watch out for my upcoming post right on that.

I love how you styled the sweat <3 It does look very luxurious, so maybe there is a reason to pay for it after all. have aa good Monday.
