LE ROUGE

I always believe – I guess it does sound absurd now I articulate it – that an authentic red is so absolute that it’s probably the closet among all colors to the monochromatic pair.

The drape, the asymmetric construction, the textured crepe fabric are all good; but nothing would matter as much without the bold red. Le rouge is where the characters lie – its monochromatic duo cousin wouldn’t have made the cut.

This look would’ve been perfectly patriotic for the past 4th. But the reality is, it’ll be perfectly appropriate for all summer long. It’s sizzling here in the city with temps up in the lower 90s. And the best way to beat the heat? Duh, be hotter.
