This wrap top is the second piece (first one here) from the new Norwegian label, Too Damn Expensive. I don’t know about your take or the designer’s thoughts behind it, but I see a rebel in this. It could just be me. And that thought alone excites me.
This top is in a matching spirit with the drastic pants. They share the same fabric and the same minimal but lavish vibes. The tie on this top gathers the most generous amount of fabric that drapes beautifully and the volume seems to be spared from staling.
Besides the dramatic wrap, the velvety, almost suede-like finish of the fabric is equally captivating. I’d like to think the fine, diverse finishes on blacks a major dynamic that gives the darkness its personalities. I guess there are indeed shades of black in that sense.
