Earlier in the summer, Sashion, a Canada based online boutique introduced me to their collection featuring young, less commercial Chinese designers. I was very much intrigued by the great cause and the idea behind it, and felt compelled to give them a try.
This white Min bag, in short, is a fun way to add a bit of edge to your regular daily wear. Frankly, I wasn’t holding sky-high expectations on it – after all, at just over 100 bucks, the bag is not meant to replace your designer handbags. And when I got it, I was glad to find these applaudable qualities: soft nappa leather, 3 compartments – yep just like Celine Trio but at a huge bargain, nice gold hardware throughout, and most importantly, the fabulous fringe which alone, personally, simply made it.
Now on to a few potential caveats. First, I wish the purple velvety lining were actually made of a more elegant fabric like the regular linen canvas. And then my foremost concern, if any, would be the gold “min” print on the bag. It’s a personal thing – my girlfriend didn’t mind it at all but I thought it was a bit excessive.
Before I wrap up, here are a few quick words about this 10 Crosby Derek Lam dress: it’s unfortunately all sold out as far as I could tell. That said, it’s one of my favorites from the past season and you can now still get the top in white from the link on the bottom. The top is a similar design – actually, I love the black dress so much that I’d also get the top if it weren’t sold out in my size. The dress fits true to size so I’d assume the top would too.
