Sleeves that are extended so long, they’re impractical, imperfect, yet well, undeniably smart-looking. Have they gone completely wild and out of reasons? Perhaps. This and the past seasons are bombarded with sleeve handling at the highest level to date. Purposefully disheveled volumes are at full speed – I don’t see a hiatus coming.
I still hold that striking a happy medium is art, although it’s an enduring debate how art fashion is. More often than not, to milk a larger-than-life trend is business acumen.
I am not going into details of that. But overuse creates cynical, fleeting trends.
This button-down, on the other hand, is one of the moments when trend meets sensibility. I could wear it right after a photoshoot to go on with my mundane life without the need to change. The clean lines and floppy cuffs are arresting, so is the modest restraint behind them. Your thoughts?
