One of the highlights of my 2019 was without doubt my long-due trip to China. Reliving everything that I grew up upon was invigorating, and the ceaseless vigor we noticed every day brings one, for a lack of better word, hope – even the sultry air didn’t seem to bother anymore.
Some practical travel tips include activating international roaming with your carrier so you’ll still have high-speed access to Google, installing essentials apps such as 高德 (Gao De), the Chinese equivalent of Google map, 大众点评 (Da Zhong Dian Ping), a.k.a the Chinese Yelp, 美团 (Mei Tuan), the Grubhub, and WeChat so you could largely travel cashless. Below are a gazillion photos I took during my 12-day trip. Perhaps these would inspire a travel plan for you too.
