Today has been one of those days when you feel fueled and productive despite the sleep debt from the night before. We rose early to shoot Ksenia, a former classmate back in graduate school and a confidant ever since.
She’s the acai queen of Instagram and that means, obviously, a homemade nutrient packed breakfast bowl and raw matcha drink for me.
I love getting behind the camera. With Ksenia, shooting means even more than taking creative control. She is my cheerleader. She is the one I consult and confide to. She has in her a perfect balance of practicality and purity that I trust and appreciate.
At today’s post-shooting espresso session, we reminded each other again about staying true to ourselves through self-doubts and challenges. We exchanged reading list and quickly repeated the message that in creative work, process outweighs outcomes.
This post was supposed to go up four hours earlier. But a conversation like that was worth our while.
This entire ensemble is breathing and eating a cookie in this I-cannot-even-dot-com chaos. It’s a wonderful example – and a delightful coincidence – of our little catch-up on coming back to oneself. The blouse is favorite on repeat; these flared, pressed pants will endure trends years from now.
Trends bothered Yohji Yamamoto. Oldies but goodies exists for a sound reason – they are the classics.

I keep going through your posts (as you do) and I’m just blown away by you, but I’m more surprised by the lack of comments?! WHY? You should have at least 50 comments under each post!
