    As “Seen” in BK

    December 16, 2016

I read from multiple social sources that Brooklyn has gone too far to be prized now, that some of its residents, its coffee shop regulars who tensely type away film scripts that bear the hope of the creators to become the next big things pressure distracting attitude the rest find hard to swallow.

Its slogan overarching the highway upon entrance delivers a message clear and loud: BK is “like no other place in the world”, a position this neighborhood prides to be.

That should indicate a reference to the diversity of its pack.

In place of stroller-filled sidewalks on the Upper East Side – where I am actually based off – are dog walkers packed streets in Brooklyn. The hip eateries especially in the cutting-edge Williamsburg are indeed tough to book but certainly stimulating to the palate. The street ponderers might set off some curious air and the unconventional attires aren’t necessarily easy on the eyes, but they surely impress. The casual backpackers equipped with advanced cameras form a contrasting touristic scene from Manhattan.

    All good.

Certain parts of Manhattan come off as a sanity check. Though not without its price, Brooklyn, on the other hand, is dreamy. The attitude, the chaos, the opposing vibes are all part of aliveness – a big pie of energy we all long to share a slice. At least I do.
