I’m unsure about white pants – the slim fitting ones to be specific. It takes too much to get them right – the right shoes, the right top, the right color scheme, the right socks in case they peak out as you move and stretch. The list goes on.
And in today’s life when a business email is expected to be handled within two hours of occurrence, feeling uncertain at the back of our mind about an outfit is probably the last thing we want to load onto our crowded mental capacity.
Why bother?
I don’t know about you, but I find myself keep relapsing back to trying things that I failed on more than once, like I don’t learn, or am just jarringly optimistic.
With such limited experience with white pants, I wanted to come back to them. And I thought I’d start somewhere familiar – something I fully trust, such as everything C/MEO Collective makes.
To go with these pleated cropped pants, I broke out my hairy printed ankle boots and this oversized wool coat to soften the structure. The knitted top was enlisted since turtleneck is style. The bag came up as a no-brainer just so the pants got company.
And there you have it – a look that looks, and more importantly, feels easy to me.
Your thoughts, folks? What’s your own style taboos, if any? Share with me in comment. x
